The support of innovation in Algeria was linked to the financial and human efforts that serve the innovation process in the business organizations to increase their competitiveness.Universities are considered as a cornerstone to innovation process by valuing the results of scientific research and making them available for business organization and especially the industrial ones.

for this, they conducted partnership agreements between universities and industrial organizations in the field of scientific research.

This study aims to determine the reality of this collaboration in Algeria.

Statistics show that it is low i during the period (2012-2016) accompanied by decrease in the global rate of innovation making Algeria in the back of the arrangement in terms of the number of patents
