Abstract EN

In the contemporary era, the Palestinian cause has received the attention of most poets such that there is hardly an Arab poet who has not addressed it in their poems.

The Omani poets, just like their brothers in other countries, dealt with the Palestinian issue throughout its stages.

It can thus be said that their poems are a manifestation of the historical chain of the events of the Palestinian issue, or still a record of its history.

The poet Said Al-Saqlawi was one of the most prominent poets who lived the Palestinian cause with great affection and sincerity and whose poems embodied the misfortunes that the Palestinian people went through as a result.

He talks of the tragedies of the Palestine occupation by the usurper Zionist regime and the resistance of the people.

In so doing, he tried to raise cultural awareness about and enlighten the Palestinian issue in Oman and throughout the Arab world.

Given its artistic and aesthetic value, the present article focused on the poem "the Trapped".

The poem is divided into two parts: the first is to draw and criticize the tragic reality compared to, but the glory of Andalusia was not immortalized, either.

In this poem, Al-Saqlawi blames Abd Al-Rahman Al-Dakhil for all the tragedies that took place in Palestine and in the Arab and Islamic East.

In addition to this character, the poet uses other symbols, such as the sun, palms, and water, and although these symbols, unlike the symbolism of Abd al-Rahman, do not bear deep connotations, they are very clear.

Also, one of the features of this artistic poem is its use of the word "how", which suggests the misery of the situation on the one hand, and the poet's aspiration for achieving his goals and hope on the other
