Until the beginning of the twentieth century, schools have remained the primary source of knowledge and teachers were the only disseminators of it.

However, during the last decade, and with the advent of communication technology, we entered a new era known as information revolution.

It's an era where anyone can access information easily and at reasonable price, and where new scientific expressions such as media literacy and information literacy have emerged.

Today, these two terms are of great interest for information specialists.

This latest media terminology may seem somewhat strange, and the information literacy is one of the hottest topics in our time.

It is also the focus of the efforts of multiple parties with different perspectives in particular those working in the field of education and media institutions, and the word information literacy appears a word with a heavy impact On the heels of educational and media institutions’ directors in the recent period, the weight of this word is due to the fact that it is considered one of the initiatives put forward in abundance in recent years.

An intellectual capable of causing development and prosperity.

That is why this paper came in the context of trying to find out the complementary or incompatible relationship between information literacy and media education.

The truth clarified by the previous lines suggests that there is an urgent problem that requires sounding its injustice and placing it under the microscope of scientific research, as it constitutes a phenomenon of transformation in a changing environment, and this phenomenon has aroused our attention and ignited our interest to study it, but despite everything that has been said and said the relationship of information literacy to media education and does it link them An integrative or dissonant relationship?
