Abstract EN

This study is concerned with indentifying the factors that foster creativity in teaching as preceived by secondary school prhiciplas and teachers in Jordan jn /* I40Q)- Also e>f concern is the effect of sex, job, level of education and experience on the extent to which these factors are present as actual practices that foster creativity in teaching.

Results of the factor analysis yielded Six factors which together accounted for 46.9% of the total vaViance.

These factors were educational leadership, academic freedom, educational facilities, attitudes and expectations of administrative and supervisory staff, professional-oriented assistance and development, and physical structure of the school and classroom.

Results of the MANOVA showed that job, level of education, and experience hare a significant effect on the extent to which these factors are present in schools.

Finally, results of the trtest also showed significant differences between ideal conditions and actual practices that foster creativity in teaching.
