Abstract EN

The aim of this study was to identify the effect of the use of PowerPoint presentations in teaching Arabic language courses on the academic achievement and the direction of students in King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The study sample consisted of (240) students.

The researcher designed the Power Point program using the Date Show to explain the lessons by computer during the teaching of the experimental group, while using the traditional method of teaching the control group, and the preparation of the achievement test and the measure of trends after ascertaining their sincerity and stability, The two trading groups Yeh and control before and after the study, the results showed that the use of presentations has an effective impact on student achievement and their attitudes towards the Arabic language material compared to the traditional way.

The study recommended the need to employ presentations in the teaching of Arabic language courses, and conduct similar studies for the program of presentations in the courses of the other faculties of the university.
