Abstract EN

This study aimed to know barriers that face learning disabilities programs in the intermediate level and to find out about suggestions and solutions to overcome these barriers.

To achieve these goals the researchers used a descriptive analytic method.

Sample of the study consisted of (350) participants.

The researcher used a questionnaire as an instrument for gathering information in the study.

The study revealed many results and the most important of them were: there was an agreement in a medium degree among participants on barriers that face learning disabilities programs in the intermediate level with a mean of (2.71 out of 4.00).

Barriers related to parents of students with learning disabilities came first with a mean of (3.31 out of 4.00).

Administrative and financial barriers came seventh and last with a mean of (2.38 out of 4.00).

Participants also agreed in a high degree on suggestions and solutions to overcome these problems and difficulties that face learning disabilities programs in the intermediate level and limit benefit of students with learning disabilities with a mean of (3.68 out of 4.00).

the study also found that there were statistically significant differences in the attitudes of participants towards their evaluation of barriers that face learning disabilities programs in the intermediate level according to nature of their work and these differences were for school principals.

In the light of these results, the study offered many recommendations and most important of them are: providing all related services for learning disabilities programs which students with learning disabilities may need in the intermediate level, and offering programs to train teachers in the intermediate level on how to deal with students with learning disabilities of different ages.
