Abstract EN

The modern view of diversity has extended its amplitude to overcome the multinational firms from multicultural human resources concept to embody demographic, viewpoints, knowledge, skills and previous experiences differences…etc.

For this purpose, our study aims to study cognitive diversity and makes appearing their effect at the individual performance level in the University of Laghouat (Algeria) and particularly in these following dimensions: viewpoints, specializations, previous experiences, tasks' content and what they acquire as information.

To achieve this, we have used a questionnaire and it has been analyzed with the SPSS program to verify hypotheses using many statistical methods.

We have finally obtained these results: firstly, there is a cognitive diversity concerning viewpoints, specializations and previous experiences, tasks, information that individuals acquire.

Secondly, the performance of the sample was nearly good, but there is a little effect of cognitive diversity on performance, this can be explained by the coefficient of determination that equals 6.6%
