Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the relation between social support and life satisfaction among sample of mothers of pupils with learning difficulties in Primary level, the most prominent domains of social support among sample of mothers of pupils with learning difficulties at Jeddah, the differences in scores of social support among the study sample in the light of Marital status, work, age and economic and educational level category of mother, Highlight the domains of life satisfaction among the study sample, the differences in life satisfaction with its domains among the study sample in the light of Marital status, work, age and economic and educational level category of mother, The resrecaher used social support scale, as well as life satisfaction scale in order to achieve the study aims.

The study used descriptive method (Correlative and comparative).

The study sample consists of (145) mother from the mothers of pupils with learning difficulties, who are enrolled in Jeddah public schools in the second semester of the academic year 1434/1435 H.

They were selected by the purposive sampling.

The study reached to important results from which are the followings:  The emotional support achieved the highest score among the dimensions of social support, followed by the cognitive support, the marital support and the behavioral support.

Furthermore, happiness archived the highest scores among the domains of life satisfaction, followed by social esteem, Tranquility, psychological stability and finally the Contentment.

 There are no statistically significance differences among the scores of cognitive support from the social support dimensions and among the scores of life satisfaction dimensions.

 There are statistically significance differences among the scores of emotional, material and behavioral support and in the total scores of social support scale, and among all the dimensions of life satisfaction except for (sociality).

 There are no statistically significance differences in the group' scores of all dimensions and the total scores of social support scale in accordance with the following demographic variables (Marital status, work, age and economic level category of mother, educational level and the type of learning difficulties with the pupil].

 There are statistically significance differences in life satisfaction scores in accordance with the Marital Status.

In the two dimensions of (happiness and Reassurance) the differences were in favor of married women.

On the other hand, there are no statistically significance differences in the remaining dimensions, as well as the total score of life satisfaction scale.

 There are no statistically significance differences among the mean scores of pupils' mothers in accordance with (age category, work and economic level) in life satiation dimensions, as well as the scale total scores.
