Abstract EN

The Ottoman Sultan realized that the continuity of the state was only in the interest of Muslims And the Arabs in the face of European interventions in the Sultanate and attempts to disintegrate.

In the framework of his policy, Sultan Abdulhamid II worked to appeal to the Arabs through the inclusion of Arab religious and civil figures and the importance of his entourage, or their appointment in the centers of the higher state and in the Arab states or their quest for gifts and privileges.

Abdul Hamid, the elderly of the Sufis aware of the importance of these to influence the peoples and also to the political goal of promoting the term "Sultan of the Caliph".
