Abstract EN

The aim of this present research is to identify the reality of using social networking sites in developing communication skills among students at the Department of Educational Media at the Faculty of Specific Education.

This research is descriptive research that aimed at describing and analyzing the relationship between social networking sites and developing communication skills.

Therefore, this study relied on media survey methodology, which is a systematic scientific effort to obtain detailed information about the phenomenon (and descriptions of the phenomenon) for the study.

The sample of the study consisted of(100) students from the third year enrolled in Department of Educational Media, Faculty of Specific Education, Benha University.

The researcher used a questionnaire about using social networking sites among students at media department to develop their communication skills as a data collection tool and applied them to the sample to learn about the development of their communication skills.

The results of the research indicate the emphasis on the role played by the social networking sites in improving and developing the communication skills of students.

These results are due to the effective role played by the social networking sites in developing different communication skills among the students at the Department of Educational media at the Faculty of Specific Education - Benha University.
