Egyptian elite evaluation of the government's strategies and its official media in managing the Corona crisis
Interim evaluation

The study aimed to measure the effectiveness of communication and administrative strategies used by the government in the first three stages of crisis management.

In addition to identifying the strategies of the official media in facing rumors and the level of their commitment to professional standards in dealing with the crisis from the point of view of the Egyptian elite.

The researcher relied on the survey methodology, and the study was conducted on an intentional sample of the medical media, and academic elite of 120 individuals distributed equally.

- The results of the study revealed that there is a laxity on the part of the government in taking some of the decisions that were supposed to be taken at the stage of the birth of the crisis.

While the level of evaluation for the decisions of this stage came at an average rate of 56.7% , the level of evaluation for the decisions of the prevention and preparedness stage increased by 74.2% .

- The strategy of providing information came at the forefront of the communication strategies that the government used in managing the Corona pandemic crisis with an average of 0.7917.

- The official media focused on the use of defensive strategies in fighting rumors, where the strategy to communicate with officials came at the forefront with 47.5%
