Abstract EN

The present thesis is descriptive study that focus upon how the violence against women issue is addressed in the new electronic media means the new mass media channels have recently succeeded in attracting people opinions towards such issues.

An analytical study was done the aim was to observe the public opinion in the new electronic mass media.

This was done by examining the new media means represented in the social media site face book.

Results: The study has bred the following results The social media networks were the most important among all media means preferred by the Egyptian people, they were followed by the internet, the electronic site and the mobile applications, The first among the public issues observed and debated through the new and traditional electronic mass media was (issues that have to do with the students), Different frameworks were used in tackling the public opinion issues in the new and traditional electronic media means.

The first place was occupied by "using more than one frame".

Recommendation: A study should be conducted on how the exposition to social media influences the knowledge and attitude of the Egyptian people towards the social issues and the public opinion issues, A study should be conducted regarding the role played by the new and traditional electronic media means in providing the Egyptian people with the information regards the different cultures and the impact of this, Establishing a decision making center for the public opinion issues to conduct researches in the field of public opinions, their analysis and interpretation, in order to get their knowledge regards the most important problems of the Egypt citizen and his opinion and attitudes so as to attract the attention of the officials towards such problems and try to solve them.
