Summary of the study The Title of the study : The concept of political participation and its relation to self-esteem among groups of the Egyptian people Aims of the study: The present study aims to identify: 1- To know The concept of political participation among Egyptians.

2- To measure the relationship between The concept of political participation and self-esteem .

The Hypothes of the Study : There is a relationship between The concept of political participation and self- esteem The Sample of the study : The study sample consist of (600 ) of Egyptian people Of different age groups (youth - the center of life - elderly) and educational levels (read and write - intermediate education - higher education) and socio-economic levels (Low-medium-high), gender (male - female) and accommodation (Countryside - attended).

The study Tools: The current study used the following tools: 1- Scale of The concept of political participation: prepared by the researcher 2-" Self-esteem Guide (2004)" prepared by: Hudson voiced by: Magdy Mohamed Desouki .

The Results of the study : A - For the total score on the scales of political participation and self-esteem, the correlation coefficient value was (0.078) which is not statistically significant, indicating that the relationship did not reach the level of statistical significance.

The relationship is not statistically significant, which means that there is no relationship between the two variables.

B- For the dimensions of political participation، (1) There is a relationship between the third and fourth dimensions and self-esteem, the more self-esteem involved in political rallies and vice versa, and also whenever self-esteem whenever the participation of the person in the elections and political parties.

(2) There is no relationship between the first and second dimensions and the self-esteem, political attention and political awareness are not associated with self-esteem.
