Islamic relations were marked by conflict at times and cooperation at others, and this is due to a change in the American strategy, especially after the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the September 11 attacks; in addition to the United States declaration of war against terrorism, the source of which according to them is “Islam”.

In its new policy, the US relied on conflictual and confrontational theories, especially the theory of the clash of civilizations by American thinker Samuel Huntington.

While other voices have emerged calling for the necessity for dialogue to prevail over conflict and confrontation.
