The political concerns of the European Union countries in the Maghreb region are wide ranging, European institutions are focusing on the democratic dimension of Maghreb political systems through a set of mechanisms that will follow the course of Maghreb democratization and bring them to the ranks of democratic regimes.

As part of the scientific treatment of this issue, we focused on the European policy towards the issue of democracy in the Maghreb countries by revealing the EU's desired democratic model in the Maghreb region and its strategy, and to identify the European standards and values to be exported to these countries in the field of democracy.
