Abstract EN

This study aims to investigate the quality of translation from English to Arabic at the National Center for Translation in Cairo for a book (Eight Eurocentric historians) by Blaut which was supervised by group of translation specialists.

The two researchers attempted to highlight the most important errors, lapses and deficiencies that occurred in his translation, which have hurt the quality of translation, and the two researchers classified these errors into two categories: translation and linguistic errors; based on the methodology used in the production of this book, the book has been subject to revision and linguistic correction, The study concludes that some Arabic translation projects are still having quality problem although that they claimed to have the stategy of appointing experts to look into the translation but they still fail to produce an accurate translation free of errors and deficiencies.
