Abstract EN

This research paper discusses the haste and its influence on the Islamic laws.

This paper has three sections.

The first section presents the definition of haste when compared to slowness.

The second speaks about the good haste that should not be delayed and the Muslim in this case is recommended to do things quickly as there are some texts from Quran and reliable Prophet Mohammed PBUH sayings that support this.

The third speaks about the bad haste.

It means that the Muslim is supposed not to hurry up in specific situations.

He is supposed to take his time as haste in such situations may lead to remorse.

This goes in harmony with the Islamic principle that says, "He who makes haste to get something will be punished by losing it".

Then religious supportive evidences were mentioned including some verses of Quran; reliable sayings of Prophet Mohammed PBUH, his companions, and followers; in addition to some aphorisms; and wise sayings that are related to this matter.
