Abstract EN

This study investigates the prominent economic, healthy and educational needs of women in Hadhramout and the effect of these needs on development.

It clarifies the women's role in the development within society, the most important problems hindering this role, their educational and economic needs, the insufficient health care provided for them and their social role in their families and societies.

The analytical descriptive methodology has been employed in conducting this study.

The social survey based on sampling has also been used.

The number of samples is 300 women chosen from six areas of Hadhramout.

It has been found that women have real economic needs and they receive insufficient health care.

The study also shows a state inability to support women education due to the shortage of its sources.

All these reasons have reduced and weakened women participation in the social development process in Hadhramout.
