Abstract EN

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the observation of sports activities and the body image among some adolescent female students in Al-Mukalla city.

The study samples consisted of (379) female students in grades (8 - 9) aged (13-16 years) in the first semester of the academic year 2015/2016 selected randomly.

To achieve the goals of this study, two questionnaires were employed.

One is for measuring the effect of observing sports activities and the other is for measuring the body image.

To analyze the data, the means and standard deviations, t- test and Pearson correlation coefficient, were used .

The findings revealed that the degree of the impact of observing sports activities took place within the average grade and the degree of satisfaction with body image occurred within the same estimate.

However, the findings revealed no differences at the level of statistical significance (α = 0.05) for the degree of the impact of observing sports activities and the degree of satisfaction due to class variety.

Finally, the findings revealed a negative correlation between the impact of sports activities observation and the body image satisfaction
