Arabic geographical knowledge was very limited compared to other branches such as linguistic or religious sciences.

From the eleventh century, a real geographic literature written in Arabic developed.

This discipline is divided into several fields, one of which is descriptive geography characterized by a marriage between what is scientific and what is literary, in particular what is linked to the fantastic aspect.

Ibn al-Wardi's book, Kharietat al-Aujayd and Farida al-Gharibah, fits into this geographic trend.

The current study will seek to determine the miraculous aspects of the aforementioned book, as well as the reasons that prompted the writer to use it
