Abstract EN

The aim of this paper is studying the social, sectarian and political conditions of the Shiites in Pakistan, through processing the scientific data published in Urdu and English writings related to the subject of research.

The researcher will also provide a comprehensive demographic study on the nature of the Shiite community in Pakistan within the diverse demographics, as well as the analysis of some goals and objectives of the Shiite community through their writings and religious and political views.

This is in addition to uncover the reality of Shiite communities and groups in Pakistan and the regions of their spread and influence beside identifying their methods and features.

Hence the importance of studying the Shiite community in Pakistan as an effective minority in a country with a Sunni majority.

In addition to the activity of the Shiite movement as one of the influential forces in the Middle East.

The following scientific research methods have been used in this research: (Historical, descriptive, and analytical) method.

Among the most important results of this study was that the Shiite presence in the Indian subcontinent is as old as the first Islamic conquests of this country and It was only during the Mughal state that Shiites could reveal themselves strongly in India.

It is also clear from the demographic distribution of the Shiites that they generally prefer to gather and live in areas such as: (Karachi, Hyderabad, and Lahore); In order to achieve a large numerical density that enables them to protect themselves, and to impose their hegemony on some sectors.

The Shiites of Pakistan are divided into several Doctrinal groups and sects, the most important of which are "Twelver, Bohra, Aga Khanate, and Al-Nur Bakhshia"; and they are the most effective and influential Shiite groups in Pakistan.
