Abstract EN

This study aims to investigate the various types of natural disasters suffered by Hadhramout during the period from the seventh century until the tenth century of migration (from the thirteenth century until the sixteenth century AD).

Further, it focuses on the effects these disasters left on the various aspects of life, political, economic, social, religious and urban .

Try study tries to find out the reasons behind such disasters and the resulting damages of them, relying on a number of sources which are considered as major factors to the issue of the study.

The study concludes that the causes of these natural disasters are linked to divine fate and wisdom, taking into consideration the scientific factors.

In addition, we should consider the fact that Hadhramout have been negatively affected by these disasters which had left bad effects on the Hadhrami society.

Consequently, they caused harms to humans, animals and plants, as well as serious damage to urban life.
