This study aimed to define the skills of verbal communication used by staff of Nyala University members.
The sample of the study made out of 70 members from faculties staff in university of Nyala (M.A.
and PHD holders ) those were randomly selected from the community of study of 190 persons.The questionnaire used in this study consist of 7 sections containing 37 questions followed by a five graded answers for data processing in a statistics method .The researcher used average deviation and percentage as measurement.
The researcher came out with the following results: The verbal connection and communication consist of 7sections : 1.
(a)acceptance of others (b) arrangement of ideas (c) recognition (d) listening (e) speaking (f) comprehension (g) response .

I give justifications and evidences and examples to support my ideas during teaching.
Through average percentage (97.14%).
3.
I set and arrange my thoughts in a coherent order during lesson.
Through average percentage (97.13%).
4.
I delay my decision and evaluation till I finished listening to my students.
Through average percentage (95.75%).
5.
I encourage students to express their thoughts and ideas frankly and freely during the lesson through average percentage (94.28%) 6.
I focus on the main points when I listen to my students.
Through average percentage (94.28%).
7.
I respond to my pupils points of view which I agree with them through average percentage (92.
85%).
8.
I have the ability to connect between information and ideas raised by students during the lesson.
through average percentage (87.14 %) .
9.
I look at the information and try to gather them so as to understand it in a good way with my students through average percentage (88.56 %)
