Abstract EN

This paper aims to find out (The Impact of the Gardens of Ideas Strategy on Achievement and Motivation of Second Intermediate School Female Students in Mathematics).

The research sample consisted of (52) students distributed into two groups with (26) second intermediate grade female students in each.

The test group was taught in accordance with the strategy of the Gardens of Ideas, whereas the control group was taught according to the traditional teaching method.

Moreover, the two research groups were paired in the following variables (previous achievement in mathematics, age, motivation towards learning mathematics)The researcher organized an achievement test of (50) objective items of multiple choice.

The validity and reliability of the test were verified, whereas the researcher adopted the (Al-Azw, 1999) motivation scale which comprised (36) items.

Additionally, the validity and reliability of the items of the scale were verified.

The experiment was implemented in the second semester of the academic year (2018-2019).

Furthermore, the research data was processed via the use of independent samples T-test, Pearson correlation coefficient along with some other statistical means.

The results of the study yielded the following (the superiority of the students of the test group who studied according to the gardens of ideas over the students of the control group in terms of achievement and motivation).

Consequently, in the light of the results, the researcher recommended a number of recommendations and suggestions.
