Abstract EN

The study aims to know the effects of oil price fluctuations on the macroeconomic variables in Algeria, the variables are The gross domestic product (GDP), the general budget, the trade balance and unemployment during the period from 2000 to 2016.

using the analytical method.

The study concluded that the Algerian economy is an economy characterized by dependency on the oil sector, based on the percentages reached.

The fluctuations in oil prices directly affect the gross domestic product as well as the level of the balance of the trade balance and therefore they affect the proportion of revenue and from it on the general budget, As for unemployment, it became clear that there is an inverse relationship between fluctuations in oil prices and employment levels in Algeria during the study period, Therefore oil prices changes effect on the macroeconomic variables in Algeria.
