This study aims to shed light on the necessity of commitment to corporate social responsibility as a response to the requirements of the current era.

In light of the intensification of competition and global openness, and the change of the basis of competition, institutions are required to reconcile their economic objectives with social requirements to achieve their growth and survival, and this is based on the adoption of social responsibility.

The study conclud that the commitment to social responsibility at the present time become an imperative for survival and continuity and is no longer a strategic choice for institutions.
