Abstract EN

This study aims to know the extent of the impact of oil price fluctuations on the growth of the agricultural sector in Algeria, and this during the period between (1986-2018), and that was by relying on BoxJenkins and ARCH methodologies for modeling the time series of oil prices as a first step, Then, using the ARDL model as a second step, with the aim of analyzing the relationship between oil prices and the growth of the agricultural sector in Algeria.

For this purpose, the standard model of the agricultural sector has been estimated so that it consists of a dependent variable represented by the added value of the agricultural sector and the basic independent variables.

The results of the study showed a clear, statistically significant impact and a strong relationship between the change in oil prices and the added value of the agricultural sector in Algeria.
