Abstract EN

This research aims to explore the duality of presence and absence in the poetic experience of Mahmoud Darwish; described as the focus duality that summarizes this experience in its changes, and it reflects self vision of reality with its various components.

The research develops by, monitoring, analyzing , and interpreting this duality through the poet vision for the place, the other, women, and through turning his experience from the collective to the individual.

The research concluded by showing the dominance of this duality on Darwish's experience.

It also stressed the argumentative nature that gave the experience its clear dramatic feature and imposed an ambiguous and ambivalent vision on the self, making it reluctant to take a decisive attitude in regard with reality with its various components.
