The Higher Education Sector is one of the most important sectors that seek to apply the concept of corporate governance in order to achieve better performance, In fact, the institutions of this sector benefit greatly from the financing provided by the state, they are facing great pressure to be more effective and rational to manage this support, to respond to society’s and the labor’s market demans.

This requires greater transparency and accountability.

For this purpose, this paper aims to present the most important concepts related to the corporate governance in higher education’s institutions, With reference to the most important challenges and obstacles to their application.
