Abstract EN

The Geographical Distribution of Animal Wealth in Yemen is considered as one of the major subjects that has a dynamic contribution in the economical development of the country .

This Wealth in particular, which is spread in all governorates of the Republic of Yemen, provides the population, including the countryside people, with foodstuff specially the protein that comes from the animal source.

Also, it grants some raw materials such as leathers that`s used in shoe and other leathery industries.

In addition, this research clarifies the most important categories of the animal wealth especially cows, camel, sheep, goats, chicken and the related products of them.

besides, it show the places, the number of each category in the governorates, the growing scale of the animal production and its derivatives in the Republic, and the growing level of the production of the chicken domestic animal i.e.

meats and eggs as well.

Furthermore, the study has been concluded with results shedding light on the kinds of the animal wealth such as cows and their growing and feeding places as in Hodiedah, Ibb, Taiz and Damar.

Also the camels where the appropriate circumstances are available for these animals to grow, feed , and spread as in Hadramout, ALmahara.

Moreover, the sheep in Hodiedah and Amran and the goats in Hadramout and shabwa.

And more importantly , the study has included suggestions and recommendations that help and enhance the production development of the animal wealth and increase the contribution of national income of Yemen.
