Abstract EN

Man started to use weapons since the early ages.

He used to use everything found in nature in his production.

At the beginning he manufactured simple tools which were used for his self defense.

With time, he discovery a new minerals and developed weapons according to his daily needs, among the weapons he had developed there are swords in different sized and forms.

The most important of swords is the takouba that was first developed by the touareg tribes.

The takouba swords are exposed in Algeria in both of the national army museum and Citra museum.
