The article aims to shed light on a topic of the utmost importance, and the role of investment in renewable energy as one of the most important energy approaches in achieving energy security, as one of the geostrategic alternatives in future energy thought, and the best options for the traditional hardwoods that risk, where we will clarify the concept of transfer energy security and renewable energy sources, as well as the destiny of Algeria in the field of renewable energy, to explain Algeria's tendency the determinants of investment in renewable energy, as well as to the importance of renewable energy to achieve energy security in Algeria.
