Abstract EN

This paper aims to study the security environment impact on the tourism sector in Tunisia, where tourism plays an effective role in the economic and social development strategies in Tunisia, but cause the current instability of political context has affected on tourism investment dynamics in Tunisia.

On this basis, the study attempts to determine the importance of the tourism sector in Tunisia by showing the components and indicators of tourism in Tunisia, also to evaluating the performance of the tourism sector in Tunisia by identifying the obstacles facing the tourism sector in Tunisia during and after the Arab spring.

This study found that there is a close correlation between the security environment and tourism sector.

So as a result of the increase of terrorist activities in Tunisia in the last years execute a regression of foreign tourists.

But the efforts to maintain the security stability restore some dynamics for the tourism sector in Tunisia.
