Abstract EN

The aim of this paper is to provide an outline of the preventive measures against corruption in public procurements set forth in article 8 and 9 of the Law on Prevention and Fight against Corruption.

This subject raises two major problems: the identification of measures for preventing corruption that are consistent with public procurements under the Law on Prevention and Fight against Corruption and the compliance of the contracting entity and the legislative and executive authorities with these measures.

For this purpose, I will examine, first, the existence of preventive measures against corruption relative to public procurements in the Law on Prevention and Fight against Corruption; and, second, I will examine the signs of implementation in Algerian law of these measures.

I will apply the descriptive and analytic approaches.

And I will conclude that the Algerian law has ensured the implementation of article 8 and 9 through legislative and regulatory instruments and effectively prevent public officials’ corruption in public procurements.
