Abstract EN

This study aims to Clarify the developments that appeared in comparative literature, starting from the concept of comparative literature that appeared especially in France in the twenties of the nineteenth century, and the compatibility of the research of French and European comparators in general, that It was characterized by certain peculiarities, wich made comparative literature related by only comparison, as it was coming from the European Ethno- centrisme which determined the nature of their researchs and made them confined with effects that European literature practiced in non-European cultures (Eastern, Arab and African).

In addition to the crisis of comparative literature occurred in the fifties of the twentieth century which led to important developments.

So it made the comparators to find new researchs and develop their approaches and creat new fields, and the most important of these developments can be summarized in "general literature", "world literature", "translation studies" and "aesthetics of literary reception ", these are fields that have a comparative perspective.
