Abstract EN

The aim of this paperi s tosh ed light on the endeavors of Ibadhisch olars especially in the field of Quranic interpretation in medieval Maghreb.

First, I will introduce the Ibadhi scholars who wrote interpretations for the holy Qur'an indicating in the context the lost and preserved manuscripts.

I will discuss three oeuvres; Abderrahman ibn Rustum's interpretation of Holy Quran 823 AD.

Hud ibn Muhakkam Al Hawari's interpretation of Holy Quran 9th century AD.

Abou Yakob yousef ibn Ibrahim Al Warjalani's interpretation of Holy Quran 1174 AD.

I will then discuss the circumstances involving losing the first and third works and the preservation of the second one by Hud Ibn Muhakkam.

Ultimately, I will focus on the general characteristics of Hud Ibn Mhakkam's work and some characteristics of Abou Yakob's work through the excerpts handed down to us through other books.
