Abstract EN

The Funj Kingdom is considered to be the first major political entity to originate from what is known as eastern Sudan, particularly the Sudan valley of the Nile in the 16th century AD.

The kingdom was also known as the Blue Kingdom and the Kingdom of Sennar, and it is the first kingdom whose rulers converted to Islam, which they considered to be the official religion of the Kingdom.

We will try through this article called "Reading in the history of the Islamic Funj Kingdom (910-1237 AH/1504-1821 AD)", to talk about the circumstances of the creation of this kingdom and the theories that have been said about the origin of Fung and the borders of their country.

In addition, we will also touch upon the most important political, administrative and economic aspects that the Kingdom has known, as we will touch upon the judicial system and the courts, which have been created to settle disputes and differences between people.

In the end, we will talk about the internal and external causes that led to its fall in 1821.
