This research is a contribution to the field of computational linguistics (the morphological and lexical aspects).

It tests the efficiency of “Qutrub”: an Arabic verb conjugator developed by Taha Zarrouki.

The research identifies types of Arabic verbs, provides two models for each verb, and examines to what extent this conjugator can correctly conjugate verbs when they are used with other parts of the speech (nouns and pronouns) and when they are used in the emphatic form.

It investigates if "Qutrub" comprehensively includes all verb entries contained in language lexicons, and studies deficiencies of the program so that they can be addressed to the benefit of Arabic speakers and others who use such programs to learn and study Arabic.
