time and place as self determinants in pre-Islamic poetry, in some selected contexts of the Mufaddalyat and the asmayat as an attempt to clarify the time and place and their impact on the formation of self-images.

The study involves different linguistic methods.

It also seeks to interrogate the types of place in relation to the self.

This is a subject that has not received much attention by researchers and its semantic directions have been not revealed.
