Abstract EN

Because there are different nationalities, languages anddialects, and because of the ever-going communicational exchange in Saudi society - in general - and Al-Jouf region in particular (where this study was conducted), This research titled: " Arabic and Urdu on Al-Jouf region - A Contrastive Studyin Linguistic Contact ” is an attempt to monitor the aspects of contact and its impact between Arabic and Urdu at the level of Arabic language in general, and the tone of the people of Al-Jouf region in particular.

This is achieved through this semantic contrastive study which monitors the two overlapping languages (phonetically), (morphologically and synthetically) and on the level of (vocabulary and sematic relations) as well as the analysis of these effects through audio material recorded, analyzed and distributed into categories.

This allowed me to arrive at recommendations to ensure the linguistic integrity of native speakers, and avoiding the transgression of the Urdu on Arabic and its linguistic structure.
