The early Kuwaitis lived in simple houses and did not know luxury or modern buildings until after the emergence of oil and the beginning of the urban renaissance in the fifties.

Their old homes were close interspersed with twisted roads, and often these roads were closed at the end but were enough to let people and their animals to pass.

This research is to study the elements of the heritage in interior spaces and furniture of private houses in the Gulf States.

The aim is to determine the extent of correlation and unity even in design since ancient time, and this study will be limited to focus on the heritage of Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.

Furthermore, it will be a reference for students and researchers in the field of heritage in the old Gulf dwelling.

The descriptive approach was used to investigate the planning of the heritage house and the division of the functional spaces to find its relationship with the residents of the house, as well as the study of the furniture and the basic supplements they used in both Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.

The researchers conducted field visits to the house of Othman and meet specialists in the study of heritage, and photographed many of the pieces of furniture and supplements that were used in the old Kuwaiti house.

The results confirmed the similarity of the elements of interior design and furniture in the heritage house in each of the two countries and clarified the similarity in detailed tables, allowing easy access for researchers and students to have information that helps them in the heritage course and to guide them to inspire from those elements to apply on their design work's.
