Even today, these traditional therapies did not lose their power; even more, they have conquered the urban space.

Many studies on traditional therapies have tried to examine the multiple aspects of these therapies in Algeria and other North-African countries (Toualbi, 1984; Mohiat-Navet, 1993; Aouttah, 1993) and since the 1980s the bibliography on this topic has greatly increased, sometimes even pompously.

Their ogies and the classifications - is explored in connection with social change, the unconsciousness, the ethic unconsciousness and the modernity/tradition dyad.
