Abstract EN

This study deals with the association for claims of the endowments of the two holy mosques (al-Ḥaramyn al-Sharīfyn), which was established during the reign of king Abdulaziz after the annexation of the Hijaz.

the expansion of the state and its increasing need for economic resources, especially for spending on the two holy Mosques, led to the emergence of the idea of benefiting from the endowments that belonged to the two holy mosques and to some of the people of Hijaz in various parts of the Islamic world, such as Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen, Syria, Palestine, Iraq, Turkey, India, and others.

the Saudi state from the time of its founder to the present time did not impose taxes on pilgrims.

accordingly, a private charity was formed with the approval of the state and the membership of a number of honorable and prestigious personalities, to demand the income of these endowments by legitimate means, and in accordance with thoughtful goals and systems.
