This research is about some scholars of al-jarh wa at-Ta'dil (criticism) used to liken some narrators to some words denoting intense criticism (al-jarh), such as Bad attributes and menial titles, such as their saying: verse in falsehood, or a charlatan, or a bad furniture and luggage, such as their saying: broken earthenware, Or honey in the skin of a pig, or likening them to cosmic and natural phenomena, such as their saying: a lying mountain or a Salty well, or likening them to Inanimate objects and machines, such as their saying: lying pod or the corner of lying, or likening them Defective animal attributes, such as their saying a pest of the pests or accused animal or strange bird.

also they likening Their narratives and their hadiths to similar things to that, such as comparing their hadiths with natural phenomena, such as their saying: a dark hadith or its chain of transmission is dark or is like a wind, or likening it to scary animals such as Snakes And exotic animals, so this research is about which narrators shared the same likening.

In addition, why did the criticism scholars use similes to describe those narrators rather than express their opinion explicitly? The research includes examples of these similes descriptions and traces their linguistic origins in order to find out their common aspects.
