Women generally enjoy rights in various international and regional international instruments through the Charter of the United Nations, which is the first international instrument to mention the equality of women with men in a clear and specific formulation, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which recognized the equal rights of all members of the human family, along with various agreements and declarations specific to women.

Also, the international texts for the protection of women's rights, we find what is public, and we find what is specific that addresses women's rights only, among them the topic of empowerment, and the general texts are represented in the Charter of the United Nations.

On the political rights of women, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, including its protocol, while the declarations to protect women's rights are the Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women and the Declaration on Discrimination against Women.
