Abstract EN

The basic principle is that moving the public lawsuit is the purview of the The Public Prosecution،However, the Algerian legislator restricted this jurisdiction to some crimes ،It expressly states that a complaint must be lodged by the victim in these crimes in order to allow the Public Prosecution to carry out its tasks and This is known in the Penal Code by Forgiveness of the victim , It is considered as a modern measure brought by the legislator as an alternative to the public lawsuit due to the pressure experienced by the judicial councils because of the large number of conflicts displayed.
