Electronic publishing is playing an increasing role in the Algerian media landscape.

Studies show that since 2016, national digital publications have become the first means for Algerians to obtain information.

This paper discusses the difficulties facing workers in this sector, and tries to explain the reasons for the continued legal vacuum in organizing and running this important media sector.

We conclude that the current situation of electronic journalism in Algeria calls for the need for legislation to protect journalists and control the practice of journalism and the organization and promotion of this sector, and avoid the chaos of information and the spread of rumors, and not deviate from professional values and ethics.
