قياس أثر السياسة النقدية و المالية على النمو الاقتصادي في الجزائر للفترة (1980-2017)‎

Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to examine the impact of monetary and fiscal policies on economic growth in Algeria, for the period 1980-2017 using (ARDL).

the results indicate the existence of positive long and short run relationship of monetary and fiscal policy with economic growth, and Relatively weak and far from the expected impact, the role of fiscal policy can be more effective by rationalizing the spending and optimizing the allocation of resources.

In order to implement reforms leading to the independence of the Central Bank ,.Toda and Yamamoto have developed a long run granger causality test which has proved that monetary policy is combined or restricted by fiscal policy, because of the rentier characteristics of Algerian economy.

This fact requires accelerating the adoption of structural reforms to boost the economic growth, without forgetting the importance of coordinating between the policies.
