Abstract EN

The present paper aims to address the industrialization experience in Southeast Asian region to extract its strengths and weaknesses (imbalances) that benefit to achieve a safe and sustainable industrial development.

The study concludes that there were factors that contributed to the achievement of industrial boom.

Meanwhile, there were imbalances accompanied the industrialization process in the region, in which a set of complex factors contributed to the fragility of the region’s economies and their vulnerability to external shocks.
