Abstract EN

The study aims to show the development opportunities for waste recycling and to call for directing economic and social policies to promote and implement safe alternatives through good waste management because of its positive impact on development in all its dimensions.

The study found that sustainable waste management can contribute significantly to compensating for the accumulated losses and achieving an economic addition that supports the path of development, as well as its ability to address many economic and social problems, especially those related to integrating the informal economy, creating decent job opportunities and alleviating poverty.

Therefore, the study recommended the necessity of investing in the field of waste management, based on updating legislation and opening the way for investment support within the framework of the partnership between the public and private sectors and the support of sustainable enterprises based on financing strategies.
